**Well-Being and Activities Assistant**

Melrose Care Home, a family run, 25 bed nursing home based in Worthing, West Sussex provide second-to-none care for our residents, offering a truly personal experience for everyone who lives with us.

As a nursing home rated “Outstanding” by CQC we are seeking to recruit a creative and enthusiastic individual who will be able to assist the co-ordinator with devising a varied monthly Well-Being and Activity Programme for our residents. This part-time role will include bespoke 1-2-1 activities, assisting and reviewing group activities, host family visits and Facetime/Zoom calls. The Assistant will ensure the programme considers equality and diversity when planning events to maintain privacy, dignity, and respect.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- To work in a team environment to ensure development of activities are consistent and deadlines are met. Alternatively, it is essential that you’re able to work independently with confidence and initiative.
- Maintain records of resident participation in activities and ensure their involvement and well-being is documented on Nourish.
- Assist the Co-ordinator with creating a monthly schedule for each resident demonstrating what is planned for the coming month.
- Assist the Co-ordinator with creating a monthly newsletter highlighting birthdays, previous events and any achievements from the residents or staff.
- To have a basic understanding of Microsoft.
- To keep up to date with residents’ social needs. For example, family birthdays and Christmas cards.
- To host/facilitate all family visits/Facetime/Zoom calls.
- Liaise with weekend visit staff.
- Support wider team as and when required.

**Salary**: Excellent rates of pay dependent on experience.

Monday to Sunday with availability to work weekends.
