MBA are proud to be recruiting for a global giant and an employer of choice within the Adjusting and Claims Management Market.
The Opportunity:

- Working within their Casualty and Liability division with specialists who manage liability claims ranging from minor slip sand trips through to establishing third party Liability connected with catastrophic events.
- The role will be predominantly home based with regular regional travel required with occasional overnight stays depending upon location.
- Act as a referral point for Branch Managers for larger cases and undertake on a fee earning basis the handling of large and complex loss cases.
Required Functional Knowledge
- Recognised profile within the UK Liability industry with a strong technical background.
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced staff in relation to technical issues.
- Ability to interpret and analyse technical reports.
- Strong people management experience / background.
- Ability to provide internal and external feedback.
General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications
- Deep understanding of industry.
- Ability to motivate staff and set objectives.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as liaison with the Directors and act as a filter for large cases that are referred to them.
- Supervision of technical output of specialist staff.
- Approval of technical reports at levels agreed with Board of Directors.
- Deal with other technical duties as may arise from time to time both in the UK and overseas.
- Maintain awareness of business continuity programme and role within it.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or awareness of FSA procedures and the TCF initiative.
- Communicate with the team on a regular basis regarding corporate and departmental information and updates.

**Skills**:

- Strong people management experience / background.
- Excellent technical background and understanding of the market.
- Flexible approach - the job holder will be required to travel throughout the UK and internationally as and when appropriate.
