**Job Details**

We have a permanent vacancy for an Assistant Cook in the new Care Village in Methil which provides care 7 days a week for residents. This 35 hours per week posts consists of working Monday to Friday as required between 9:00am to 5:00pm.**Post 1 -**

Duties will include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets.

Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.

Completion of basic bookwork and electronic returns may be required.
- You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

This work is about ensuring residents and visitors are provided with a service throughout the day as and when required.

**The Person**

Do you have Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?

**Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.**

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
