**Job Description
Grade 5 - £27,978 - £31,044 pa 3 x 1 Year Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity**
We are currently recruiting 3 Housing Officer Compliance positions. These positions will be fixed term for 1 year and are required t o provide a high quality housing management compliance service which deals with fire risk assessments, clutter, unauthorised items in communal areas, and storage areas ( including utility in take cupboards) within Havering Council’s social housing stock. Be an advocate and champion for the borough.

Support people to sustain their homes and quality of life. Provide advice and support on a wide range of issues including, hoarding, and storage areas within the stock, garages and mobility scooters storage.

Act as the principle point of contact for the borough so that the environment and condition that residents experience is high quality and well maintained.

Develop strong links with other council departments to provide solutions such as access, fire risks, hoarding and vulnerability / safeguarding to enable the Council to maintain properties in good order and protect residents. Where relevant take action in line with tenancy terms or leases.

To respond as directed to Members Enquires, service request, demands, and complaints.

To work as required or directed with the police, fire and other statutory partners, council services, external partners and other enforcement agencies to prevent, tackle or resolve, anti-social behaviour, nuisance, environmental issues.

To enforce other areas as deemed necessary.

**You must hold a UK manual driving license.**
