Experience:
Post Office - Essential to have had previous Post Office counter experience

Retail - Experience not necessary although commitment to learn and skills within a customer service based environment is important.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

- Provide a pleasant and efficient service to customers, visitors and colleagues
- Maintain employee and organisational confidentiality
- Comply with mail regulations and procedures
- Able toward well under pressure during busy periods
- Provide general assistance to the public in a professional and polite manner
- Use the horizon system to deal with accounts, sales and keep records of transactions
- Demonstrate capability of working independently and as a member of a team
- Able to handle cash accurately and confidently
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience in a Post Office.
- Proficient in English and have basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Having a helpful and engaging nature at all times
- Flexible approach to working hours especially when holiday cover is needed
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.00-£11.44 per hour
