Responsible for providing essential technology to 10,000 healthcare organisations across all major UK health sectors, we are looking for a **Product Owner** to drive quality of products in our advanced healthcare software.
Working remotely, you will become part of the product team that is responsible for the portfolio of our products that are shaping the next evolutionary stage in healthcare technology. Collaboration is key at EMIS, as Product Owner you will work proactivelywith Product Managers, developers, our customers and internal stakeholders. You will take core business requirements, turning them into user stories and bringing them to life by supporting through the development life cycle.
Transforming your career within product ownership at EMIS you will be able to work on innovative technology that is responsible for extending patient care through analysis of data and supporting medical professionals in their daily role.
- This Product Owner role is a home working position with some requirement to travel infrequently to the Leeds or Watford office for collaborative meetings. _
**What you’ll do** As a Product Owner, your key duties will include:
- Responsible for one or more sprint teams ensuring quality within those team(s)
- Creating and documenting customer centric user stories (requirements)
- Prioritising user stories and adding to the product backlog in line with user needs and business objectives
- Ensuring the vision for the product / feature and user stories are fully understood by the sprint team(s)
- Regular engagement with users and stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle to ensure the creation of products and features that delight our users.
- Communicating your vision of the features to internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the relationship between the sprint team(s) and the internal and external stakeholders
- Works closely with Product Managers to turn user stories into product features that deliver customer experiences.
- Using agile development principles, work collaboratively to define features, sequenced and delivered in a way that will deliver optimal customer and business value.
**Who you’ll be** We want to make sure you’re set for success so the key skills we’re looking for in the role are below. We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we’ll provide training on some of the areas if you’re the right person for the role.
- Previous experience in a product delivery environment - understanding road maps, either having worked with your own defined road map or a product teams road map
- Knowledge and experience of Agile
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience working with stakeholders and external customers to deliver high quality products
- Experience working with multiple products
- Knowledge of software deployment or deployment practices would be advantage
- Understanding of healthcare IT Systems or software as service would be desirable but not essential to your success
