**Based in either Nottingham or Rotherham**
We are a NHS service, hosted by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, providing Counter Fraud Services to NHS clients in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. As a Principal Counter Fraud Specialist, you will work within a team that provides Counter Fraud Services to a wide spectrum of NHS organisations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person you will work under the direction of the Assistant Director Anti-Crime Services, leading the fight against fraud in the NHS by raising awareness, training staff, deterring attempts and undertaking criminal investigations into suspected frauds with a high level of autonomy.

This is a high-profile role which will also require you to manage your own personal workload, and that of the Counter Fraud Specialists who you will manage.

All applicants must have the Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist qualification (or equivalent) and will have well-developed management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills. They must have knowledge of current investigating legislation and the law in relation to fraud and corruption.

We are a flexible employer and we support hybrid working arrangements as well as flexibility over when hours are worked. The post holder will be nominally based at either our Oak House office (Rotherham) or our Stapleford office (Nottingham) but travel will be expected across the client base to undertake reviews and therefore a driving licence and car availability are essential.

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. For rostered areas, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.
