- **Job Title**:_ Teaching Assistant - **Pay**: £10.77 per hour - **Location**: Newport, Gwent **(NP10)**_
- The working hours will consist of; Monday - Friday 08:30-15:30_

**Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Required to work across foundation phase supporting pupils from nursery to year 2
- Occasionally work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil to encourage and support with the work set by the class teacher.
- Shadow the pupils during all lessons throughout the day and potentially during lunch time.
- Ensuring all pupils are work ready for all lessons.
- During the lessons you may need to prevent potential disruption that may occur
- Establish productive working relationships with the pupil and set expectations.
- To give positive feedback, and praise to reinforce the pupils’ efforts and develop self-esteem.
- Promote the inclusion of pupils and encourage pupils to interact with each other.
- Positive, energetic, and patient.
- Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
- Takes the hands-on approach and is always ready to support the pupil and class teacher.
- Able to have the ability to develop strong relationships between the pupil.
- Passionate for working with the special educational need’s environment.
- Able to keep calm under pressure.
- Motivational and has a supportive nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
