One of the biggest Tech Organisations in the world are looking for a couple of really skilled Senior (or Principal level) Software Engineers to join their Edinburgh City Centre base - Fully remote working on offer. They've been operating very successfully now for well over 20 years and are a proper power-house, not just in the UK but they're known world-wide - they develop really slick and modern solutions (most of us use their software / products every day). They've recently set-up a new division in the business, but already have several Agile Squads - if successful, you'll get to pick the one you find most appealing and there is plenty of scope to transition to teams / divisions you find most interesting. Thesesquads are all fairly new so it's a great opportunity to have real influence. The bulk of these squads are really back-end heavy and they're really tech agnostic - they definitely live by the phrase "best tool for the job", so Engineers that are able to pick up technologies and enjoy highly technical environments do really well here.To give you a general idea though, they use; Java, Python, C#, GoLang, Objective C + a few others (however welcome Engineers from any background providing you're confident with your language of your choice). Each squad also actively use AWS, Microservicesand multiple DevOps tools - so any interest / experience in working in Cloud focused environments will stand you in good sted. You'll ideally be coming in as a Senior / Lead / Principal Engineer within one of these squads, so are really looking for confident Engineers that can actively contribute to a project's success. You'll be working in Agile Squads (circa 6-8) and be involvedin initial design / road map-planning, technology selection, architecture, Development, Coaching / mentoring + much more. It will be a really involved role - there's also plenty of scope for progression if you're interested in technical leadership or peopleleadership. **_You'll ideally have experience with the following; _** **Strong Commercial experience with any Object-Orientated Programming Language. **Operating at a Senior or Lead Level **_The following experience is highly desirable;_** **Machine Learning / AI **DevOps **Working on really scalable / high-trafficking Products Their office is based in central Edinburgh, you can work remotely or hybrid it's completely your choice - they hope you could pop in for the very occasional big meet-up, but you'll never be forced in In return they can offer a very very strong salary + benefits package; anywhere from £60k to £140k salary (sometimes even more) and a significant sign on package + shares - happy to discuss all of this further.
