**About this client**:
James (31) is an intelligent, good-natured and sociable young man with a zest for life. He enjoys eating out, travelling, visiting nature reserves and art galleries, making music, writing poetry, keeping up with current affairs and having fun. James has quadriplegiccerebral palsy, is a full-time wheelchair user and is dependent on others for all his needs, including communication support. Although James is verbal it may be difficult to understand him and he communicates mainly with low-tech communication aids.
**Overview of role**:
James Is looking for a friendly, intuitive, and engaging *Male Buddy/ Support worker to join his small, dedicated team. Your role will be to support James with all his daily tasks, enable him to access what London has to offer, including galleries and naturespots. Your support will enable James to have a fulfilling life and to pursue his own interests. You will work alongside his family and other members of his team, implementing James’s therapy programmes, providing personal care, preparing meals and keepinghis environment clean and tidy. The hours are 42 hours per week average, based on a 4-week rota that will include either a Saturday or Sunday on alternate weekends. Certain flexibility is required. £34.944.00 gross per annum £16.00 gross per hour
