On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a **Qualified Accountant** for a **6 month contract** based **100% remote.**

**Purpose of the Role**:

- The primary focus of the role will be supporting the production and analysis of the Group's Solvency II quarterly regulatory reporting submissions. Reporting to the Senior Consolidation Accountant responsible for the submissions, this is an opportunity fora dynamic accountant to experience financial and regulatory reporting within a group function.

**As a Qualified Accountant you will be responsible for**:

- Preparation of the Group's consolidated Solvency II results, including review of business unit inputs, eliminations and consolidation adjustments
- Support the preparation of the Group's Solvency II consolidated balance sheet and reporting, including ownership of selected quarterly Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs)
- Utilise the Group's asset data store to produce Group asset reporting outputs as required, particularly for investment related QRTs
- Contribute to the response to ad-hoc requests from external parties such as the PRA and ratings agencies
- Support the delivery of initiatives required to ensure Group reporting processes meet all reporting and control requirements of a newly listed plc
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the wider M&G finance community
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in M&G Plc's operational risk
- Qualified Accountant, preferably with experience of working within a life and pensions organisation
- Knowledge, expertise and experience in regulatory reporting - Solvency II
- Experience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accounting
- Experience of the production and delivery of consolidation processes in a life and pensions or other financial services organisation would be advantageous
- Experience of using finance reporting systems (such as HFM) to produce financial results (desired)
