We need someone who can work part time, on 22.5 hours a week, on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. We can provide you with all the benefits listed below, plus the opportunity to get involved with heritage conservation.

A well-loved parkland used by locals for walking and exercising, a popular garden which changes with the seasons and a treasure house makes Saltram a popular property for a range of audiences. Currently, the Future Saltram Project aims to deliver significant and exciting changes across every area of the property to maximise its commercial potential and deepen audience engagement. What you'll be doing:Working alongside colleagues & contractors to deliver site maintenance and getting involved in heritage conservation, gaining unique knowledge & experiences of Saltram. Day to day work can be varied from carrying out basic plumbing fixes to helping repair the Orangery; This coming year we plan to focus on window repairs & internal decorations.

Who we're looking forWe'd love to hear from you if you have;
- Expertise in one or more general trades and in hands on and practical maintenance and repairs either within the home or workplace
- An understanding of traditional buildings/structures and able to make sound judgment on the appropriate extent and method of trade works within such settings
- Good time management including prioritising and managing own time to deliver agreed scope and quality of work
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, CDM and compliance requirements and experience of writing risk assessments and method statements for small programmes of work
- Familiar with use and maintenance of personal protective equipment
- Ability to work well in a team - Willingness to work alongside volunteers and able to support volunteers to perform at their best
