Care Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Team Leader to join our amazing team at St Joseph's Home.
We would love to hear from a caring and compassionate Senior Care Assistant who is passionate, positive and who can effectively lead a team of Care Assistants.
Duties include:
- Allocation of duties and delegation of work to staff
- Assisting the unit staff in the delivery of direct care
- Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
- Holding regular unit meetings and arranging resident review meetings
- Auditing of care plans and ensuring that all documentation is kept up to date
- Ensuring that new resident admission assessments are carried out and that care is planned accordingly
- Adhering to and ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to all of the homes policies
- Carrying out all aspects of medication management, including ordering, disposal, administering, monitoring etc.
- Ensuring that all the team adhere to infection control and Health & Safety measures
- To be conversant with DOLS (deprivation of liberty safeguards)
- To help develop carers in the team so that they can carry out their role efficiently
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels in line with dependency of residents, in liaison with HR and Home Manager
We operate a mixed shift system on a four week permanent rotation including weekends. Shift patterns as follows 0800 - 1600 and 1300 - 2100.
Pay: £14.44 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week

**Experience**:
- providing care: 2 years (preferred)
- supervisory: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (required)
