Catch Up Coach

Activate Learning are looking for inspirational and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a difference to join our growing Intervention Progress Coach team, working to restore effective learning habits and behaviours, and supporting the employability and progression of our students.

These opportunities have arisen through specific central government ‘catch-up’ funding to support learners, as disrupted learning has meant that students are out of the habit of learning and require support adapting to an education environment, post Covid. The role of the Intervention Progress Coach is to work 1:1 or with small groups of students who require support to engage successfully with their programme.

You will provide individualised support and targeted interventions to a caseload of students experiencing difficulties in managing their behaviour, assisting students in setting goals, overcoming barriers to learning, and reintegrating back into the classroom when they have regained management of their behaviour and self-regulation.

**What do you need to be successful in this role?**

You will have some experience of working with teenagers or young adults within a school/youth work/college or relevant environment. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver coaching sessions as well as inspirational group sessions to a diverse range of learners.

You will be empathetic, resilient and confident in working with students whose behaviour can be described as challenging. You will have an understanding of the issues that present as barriers to learning with a creative approach to finding solutions and promoting positive behaviour.
