Operations Team Leader

**Description**:
We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to lead and develop our Landmark Mortgages Operations team on a 12 mont Fixed term contract basis. The Operations Team Leader will be reporting into the Head of Oversight within the Oversight team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the operational oversight team and effectively managing Conduct Risk for the outsource services within appetite.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise an operational team to ensure staff are trained and competent in order to effectively oversee the outsourced services.
- Ensure compliance and adherence at all times to the 6 TCF principles, and all other regulatory requirements
- Ensure that Landmark business targets and objectives are met within regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Act as the point of escalation for referrals from the team to ensure compliance with regulation and TCF principles.
- Ensure that submissions to committees are timely, accurate, complete and of an acceptable standard.
- Monitor the day to day activities of the team ensuring deadlines, targets and objectives are achieved within regulatory and legislative requirements. Maximise team efficiency and re deployment /allocation of resource where necessary to maximise output.
- Identify skills gaps and recommend and/ deliver appropriate training to team
- Act at all times in accordance with the requirements of the Conduct rules.
**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:
- At least 1 year’s relevant supervisory experience in a Mortgage Operations function within the mortgage industry.
- Awareness of Sysc 8 requirements for outsourced activities
- Meeting team and organisational targets against business plan whilst working flexibly and pro-actively with colleagues and 3rd parties.
- Proven Track record in leading, motivating and developing staff.
- Detailed working knowledge of Primary Services practices regulatory requirements and best practice methodologies.
