Counter Sales Assistant

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counter Sales Assistantto join our team in Worthing.

**The Role**

We are looking for a Counter Sales Apprentice to train towards selling in a trade counter environment within our Chichester Branch.

You will be required to:

- Train towards serving customers promptly
- Understand the merchanting business, learning a variety of roles within the branch
- Complete all learning objectives to complete the apprenticeship
- Ensure that learning targets are achieved in the agreed timescales.
- Update line manager on learning activities and targets to ensure all training time is planned in advance.
- Develop product knowledge by keeping up to date with in house training and attending supplier roadshows.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues and customers thus optimising sales and customer service.
- Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products and support colleagues in your areas of expertise.
- Ensure all telephones are answered promptly and politely, covering all colleagues as appropriate.
- Work as directed by branch management in a variety of departments within the branch to develop a broad knowledge of companys working practices and product range.

**The Hours**

Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30 and alternate Saturdays. 08:00 to 12:00
