**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Perform venepuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages, including paediatrics, for vitamin testing
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- To perform IV Vitamin Therapy for clients in a safe manner and support athletes and clients in their health goals
- Maintain accurate blood sample records, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
- Check blood pressure for clients and give general health advice
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
- Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies used in phlebotomy.
- Assist in training and supervising junior phlebotomists, providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
- Stay updated with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and advancements in phlebotomy practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory setting.
**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital or clinical setting is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques is an advantage.
- Experience with catheterisation is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues alike.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Pay: £16,943.89-£23,670.23 per year
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
