Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm. Tuesdays 9:00am to 5:30 pm for further training and meetings.

Holiday: 9 weeks paid holiday.

I am looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join a fantastic school dedicated to educating children and young people with Autism and related disabilities within the classroom and break time environment. You will be teaching students 1:1 or in small groups alongside the qualified teaching team. The children in this school follow an individualised curriculum that focuses on their personal abilities and life skills.

**You will be provided with funded comprehensive practical and theoretical training alongside a career pathway in SEN.**

**Your responsibilities will include**
- Provide teaching and support to pupils with autism, following individualised curriculums
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons and activities, focusing largely on life skills
- Provide behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
- Supporting off-site activities
- Provide personal care support, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene
- Monitoring and evaluating pupil progress and wellbeing
- Assist with breaktime duties including playground support- Hold a valid UK Driving license due to remote location
- Personal or professionalexperience working with children and disabilities
- Have relevant GCSE qualifications in Math and English, Grade C and above
- Have a passion to support and empower children and young people
