**The role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Facilities Officer to join our Office & Retail team here at Southern Housing

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will ensure Southern Housing offices are well managed and run effectively and efficiently, providing a safe and comfortable working environment for staff. You will also support the delivery of an excellent facilities management service to meet business needs and provide outstanding customer service to our colleagues and external customers.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Arrange and coordinate a variety of service requests, including health and life safety systems and installations to ensure our offices always remain compliant with legislation and best practice.
- Manage access across a dispersed office portfolio.
- Ensure the fire evacuation and first aider processes are carried out correctly
- Responsible for ordering stationery, monitoring stocks and organising timely replenishment of office perishables and supplies.
- Organise and maintain records of meetings with suppliers, contractors and other colleagues in relation to delivering services to office locations
- Arrange proactive and reactive maintenance with 3rd party suppliers and the raising of the corresponding purchase orders
- Ensuring all compliance admin is saved appropriately and updating the compliance log in accordance with our internal administrative procedures.

Please note, this role will require some manual handling, however full training will be provided to you.

The role will be based at our Farringdon, with regular visits to other offices/sites across London & Berkshire, plus the ability to work from home, all to be agreed with your line manager.

**What you’ll need**:

- A basic understanding of facilities within an office-based setting
- IT literacy skills, including learning of new IT systems
- Ability to react to facilities defects in a timely manner
- Good administrative skills
- A strong focus on Health and Safety and compliance
- Ability to travel across multiple sites.
