**Role**:
The role will be imperative to ensuring effective and consistent delivery of all qualifications on both pre CIPD legacy qualifications as well as the new 2021 CIPD qualifications and ensure as a centre, we achieve Awarding Organisation and company standards in line with the Quality Framework.
The role should respond to the requirements and demands of the external environment and internal processes and procedures. This remit is intended to be used as a generic guide rather than a set of prescriptive requirements.
- This is a remote based role, however with an expectation to travel to Glasgow for Head Office Meetings every quarter (paid for by the business)_
**Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
- Review CIPD Tutor assessment decisions and feedback to provide advice, support, and guidance to help them maintain and improve their assessment practice.
- Design, facilitate and minute standardisation and qualification-specific tutor meetings as appropriate.
- Support new to business associates through coaching and mentoring sessions to ensure group wide quality and assessment practices are implemented.
- Work with tutors and associates to ensure the standardisation of assessment practice and outcomes.
- Participate in wider Education Services, performance meeting to discuss trends and themes to ensure effective action is taken to improve the CIPD curriculum department performance.
- Liaise with CIPD curriculum team to regularly update on progress.
- Follow agreed procedures when there are significant concerns about the quality of assessment in line with ICS policies and procedures.
- Follow agreed procedures for the recording, storing and reporting and confidentiality of information.
- Work closely with the curriculum and Quality Team to ensure CIPD development points and actions from external quality assurance visits are actioned timely.
- Support the Quality Team on CIPD sampling activity for both legacy and new, CIPD qualifications.
- Liaise, where applicable with the wider education services teams, manger, and senior management in line with business demand.
- Attend any relevant CIPD events to ensure ICS Group informed of any changes or developments within Awarding Organisations.
- Work in collaboration with ICS Groups CIPD Curriculum Manager and CIPD team to frequently review teaching and learning resources and materials to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
- Training of internal stakeholders and future team mates to ensure knowledge is being passed across to new and existing members of the Group.
- You will be expected to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of you and are reasonable in the context of the post.
**General Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
Be familiar with the Company Strategic Plan and to ensure that all activity supports relevant parts of the strategic plan, and the appropriate Departmental Plans.
- Comply with all the company’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in the company’s performance management system.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s processes and procedures resulting in improved efficiencies within the business and improved service levels to the customer.
- Be a member of specific project teams as determined by the Group Head of Quality/Curriculum Manager or Programme Leader Supervisor.
- Travel, domestically and internationally, as required to fulfil duties.
- Any other duties required by the company which are reasonable in the context of the post.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
**Desirable**
- CIPD qualified
- Relevant qualification in online or blended education
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification (D34, V1, QCF L4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice or QCF L4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
- Assessor Award (D32, D33, Al Assessor Award or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
**Experience**
**Essential**
- Experience of working with external stakeholders or clients in a professional capacity.
- Experience of working with qualification frameworks.
- Experience in assessment and verification.
**Desirable**
- Distance/Online learning teaching experience
- Meeting operational targets set for timely success.
- Working successfully as part of a team.
- Marking, assessment conventions and tracking systems.
**Specialist skills**
**Essential**
- Knowledge of pedagogy and the use of educational technology.
- Managing multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent presentation skills in both formal and informal situations.
- Excellent IT skills particularly Microsoft Office, Webex and internet.
- Able to work under pressure, meet demanding targets and work to tight deadlines.
- A team player with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
