**Position**: Yard Operative

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate B1 (Counterbalance) and B2 (Reach) forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Load, unload, move stack materials and cabins using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage and maintain organized inventory.
- Organise and maintain the yard area, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and condition.
- Accurately label and store materials in designated locations.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, cleaning, and organising storage areas.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management.
- Drive company vehicles to collect materials from local suppliers as required.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and departments.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 2 years’ experience).
- Proven experience in material handling and yard operations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**:

- Valid B1 and B2 forklift licenses/certifications.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Saw experience

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.

**✔Working Hours: 7am - 4.30pm; Mon - Thu & 7am - 1.30pm Fri**

**✔31 days holidays**

**✔Overtime available**

**✔Competitive Rates of Pay based on experience**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
