**Orange & Lemon Pre School**

The nursery operates a settling in system for each child. The parents and carer will be expected to stay for the required length of time to ensure their child is settled at the nursery. They appreciate that each child and their parent/carer have different needs, so our system is flexible to accommodate individual needs. Activities include learning from play, dressing up and role play, construction, story telling, art, music, singing, water and sand based activities. These all help children to explore and develop ideas of space, time, movement, rhyme, and rhythm. These activities also help children learn about numbers, letters and language in line with the Early Years Curriculum guidelines.

**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards **Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship**.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns **whilst having fun**.
- Being a team player.
- **Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children**:

- Taking part in First Aid training as required
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- **Supporting children’s learning and development.**:

- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- **Being creative and enthusiastic**.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

Expected Career Progression:

- Continuous development in current nursery setting, Room Leader positions etc
- Possible management training
- Springboard into primary education
- Paediatric nursing

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £6.40 per hour
