Trainee Metal Polisher

**Trainee Metal Polisher, Derby, £10-12ph (negotiable)**

**Purpose**

As a **trainee metal polisher**, you will be fully trained in the preparation and polishing of numerous classic car and motorcycle parts for chromium plating. We are looking for another person to join our existing team of highly skilled operatives so that the company are meeting output targets.

**Responsibilities**

As a **Trainee Metal** **Polisher, **you will:

- **Polish** a variety of mainly car components to a high standard
- **Operate** a polishing lathe, and multiple handheld tools for fettling and preparation work. The parts vary in size from a small screw to a large bumper
- **Inspect** the completed work to ensure the **quality** standards are being met
- **Communicate **with others on job related tasks
- Ensure that the working area is always kept **clean and tidy**

**Package**
- Standard working week is 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 4.30pm
- 21 days of annual leave per year plus the 8 bank holidays
- Structured training and opportunity to progress
