Greenkeeper

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Carry out routine course maintenance including mowing of greens, teeing grounds, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
- Undertake routine maintenance of bunkers and club ground surrounds, including planting / pruning of trees.
- Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop Zones and hazards.
- Identify and control pests, weeds and diseases and advise the Course Manager accordingly.
- Operate course machinery effectively complying with applicable Health & Safety guidelines
- Use power tools and hand tools as necessary for ground-keeping tasks.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept in good working order during use.
- Assist Course Manager with appropriate maintenance and treatments of grasses and soils throughout the year.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve high standards of ground-keeping.
- The above list is not exhaustive or exclusive and the employee may be expected to undertake other work commensurate with the nature of the position at the reasonable request of the company.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with the operation of Greenkeeping machinery (eg mowers, tractors etc)
- Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- The work has a high physical requirement. Stamina and good health are essential.
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for operating grounds maintenance vehicles.

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
