Kitchen Porter

Job Overview:
Newburgh Golf Club is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to support the smooth operation of our kitchen. This role is essential in maintaining high hygiene standards, ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized and assisting with basic food preparation tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Hygiene:

- Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly. - Assist in washing pots, pans, dishes and cutlery.
- Keep floors, work surfaces and waste disposal areas clean and tidy.
- Adhere to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations.Support for Kitchen Operations:

- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling vegetables or assembling ingredients.
- Help with unloading and storing food deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Be proactive in assisting with additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.

Skills & Personal Attributes:

- Hardworking, reliable and a team player.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.Availability:

- Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and peak periods including holidays.
