This role is responsible for developing and growing SSCL’s brand and
media presence as part of our overall Marketing & Communications strategy.
Working with colleagues, using your knowledge and expertise, you will
increase SSCL’s presence through a number of channels including external
events, SSCL website and support social media exposure.
This role encompasses creative, digital, commercial, technical, and
administrative responsibilities. You must understand marketing and
communications best practices, especially the ability to produce well-written,
engaging copy and other collateral in mixed formats.

This is a part time role that can be based out of Newcastle, Blackpool or
Newport with a view to you being in the office once a week.

**What you will be doing**:
Take a strategic approach to SSCL’s marketing activities, with clear objectives to support the promotion of activities and sales opportunities and regular measurement and evaluation.
Developing content, writing and proofreading creative copy to promote products and services, focusing on website, social media and presentation
Support the social media consultant to grow our social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram), gain interaction and engagement and promote SSCL brand awareness - both on an organic and paid social level.
Competitive analysis, link monitoring and co-marketing outreach activity to gain quality links.
Offering creative input and ideas were necessary to promote SSCL brand and services.
Scanning the environment, identifying good practices and ideas that can be adopted and monitoring competitor activity.
Excellent attention to detail, proactive and able to work on your own initiative, effectively multi-tasking in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Liaising with Sopra Steria and NHS SBS marketing leads to benefit from alignment where appropriate and to support where appropriate.
Support the research and development of generic business propositions

**What you’ll bring**:
Solid understanding of a Marketing and Communications role
Experience of planning content and writing copy for a variety of publications, such as newsletters, internal and external communications, websites, employee intranets, presentations
Excellent organisational and planning skill
Experience of stakeholder management
Good analytical skill
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Computer literate, with excellent written and verbal communications skills
An ambitious, self-motivated and well-organised individual with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
Excellent attention to detail, be proactive and able to work on your own initiative, effectively multi-tasking in a deadline driven environment
Flexibility on the role as it may involve covering some admin or wider marketing duties and working at other SSCL locations.
