The Community Neuro Rehab Team is a multi-disciplinary team which provides services across the county of Shropshire, including Telford and Wrekin.
This is an opportunity to be part of an experienced team of health care professionals who provide a service to patients suffering from acquired brain injuries, strokes and progressive neurological conditions, often with very complex needs. The team consistsof Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and is managed by an Occupational Therapist. The team also has an Assistant Psychologist and two Rehabilitation Assistants. We have excellent secretarialsupport and good links with staff of the acute hospitals and other community and social services. We work with individuals as well as providing group approaches with the aim of supporting recovery as far as we can. We are keen to work with families, developbetter goal-setting approaches and develop teaching and training.
We are looking for an experienced Neuro Occupational Therapist. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with members of our own service and those with which we liaise. Support and supervision will be availablefrom the team lead and colleagues in the rehab team. Excellent record keeping and information governance awareness is essential, as well as knowledge of national guidance.
