**Job details**:
As an organisation, we are committed to delivering the highest quality services to meet the needs of our residents and businesses. The new Environment Act 2021 is an important milestone in how authority protects and enhances the changing world.
This role will advise on the ecological and landscape implications of development, strategic planning and other proposals on behalf of the authority. You will ensure that the planning authority meets legislation, policy requirements and duties in a way that protects manages and enhances our rich landscape and diverse biodiversity.
This role requires a high calibre, experienced landscape/ecology officer, who is passionate about making a difference and who can help shape the organisation's approach and understands the biodiversity net gain requirement.
Individuals should have experience in providing high-quality, clear and coherent ecological and landscape advice, with strong collaborative working and influencing skills. The role will be supported by an additional landscape/ecology post.
