Who we are looking for

A Payroll Officer to join an established team of experienced Officers and Administrators in our busy Payroll department at our offices in Stoke-on-Trent.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will have current experience in a large transactional payroll operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will be familiar with technology used to streamline the way in which the Payroll function is delivered.
- Preferred skills and experience- Proven experience within a payroll function at a similar level.- Experience administering multiple payrolls for a large company would be advantageous.- Excellent time management and organisational skills.- Excellent written, numerical and verbal skills.- Ability to interact with key stakeholders at all level. Knowledge of statutory payroll legislation, payments and deductions.- Ability to work under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines.- Main Responsibilities- Working as part of a team to ensure our colleagues are paid accurately and on time.- Ensuring the timely collation and processing of data in accordance with internal procedures and statutory legislation.- Analysing and reporting on payroll data.- Maintaining payroll procedures and recommending areas for improvement.- Supporting the Payroll management team as required.- Forging relationships with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of internal processes.- Preparing and submitting third party payments and regulatory returns.- Maintaining P11D and electronic payslip software.- Providing a customer-focused payroll function ensuring appropriate and responsive service and guidance to internal customers.- Want to become part of the team?- The benefits of working with us
