**Summary**:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the flagship hotel, with a rich and fascinating history, of an upscale and luxury chain, as Meetings and Events Sales Manager. With over 400 rooms and 50 event spaces within this spectacular site, the hotel is alwaysbusy. The Meetings and Events Sales Manager will support the Director of Meetings and Events with the running of the department, supervise, train and motivate a team of up 6 colleagues, help drive new business and provide support to the corporate enquiry andconversion team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Provide hands-on support to the corporate enquiry and conversion team
- Agree and communicate daily actions per team, and check throughout the day
- Work alongside the enquiry handling team to ensure enquiries are prioritised
- Support Conversion activities, including support on prospect business showrounds, and be actively involved in the preparation and execution of monthly Conversion Days
- Ensure that rates quoted are in line with the hotel and company selling strategy
- Achieve monthly Conversion Targets for office
- To ensure monthly Measurement Result targets are achieved through training and review.
- To maximise meeting room utilisation by delegate and revenue
- To ensure the highest standards of conference & event business processes are maintained and SOPs are regularly revisited.
- To maximise Diary management and revenue for the hotel
- To ensure the Sales Team are working in synergy with Front of House, Operations Team and Group Sales.
- On-going competitor analysis for C&E market both local and national
- Co-ordinate with colleagues to help ensure successful delivery of all events
- To assist with the overall management of the Conference & Events Sales team, creating a motivated team focussed on conversion, upselling and exceptional customer service
- To anticipate customer needs, and to react to these to enhance satisfaction
- To handle or escalate, when appropriate, all guest feedback, both positive and negative
- To assist delivery of bite sized training sessions monthly to the Conference and Events Team
- To assist Director of M&E to run monthly departmental meetings where required

**About You**:

- Our client is looking for someone with previous Meetings & Events Sales experience including enquiry handling, conversion activities and conducting effective site visits. You should have a good commercial understanding of Meetings and Events within hotelaccommodation in order to make crucial decisions to grow the business.
- You should also have demonstrable team management experience within a similar Sales Office environment.
