We are looking for enthusiastic and creative part-time youth workers to join our team of dedicated staff. Are you passionate about working with young people and helping them to reach their full potential? Staff will support young people in youth club settings, facilitating activities such as baking, arts and crafts, sports and games, as well as offering a safe place to talk and receive informal education. Youth workers may also carry out detached and outreach youth work projects.

Full training can be provided and there are excellent professional development opportunities offered throughout the year.
- Be experienced in working directly with young people including providing one to one support and group work
- Have excellent communication skills and a knowledge and understanding of the issues facing young people today
- Have the ability to adapt to a range of situations and be able to work well both in a team and independently
- Develop and lead activities that engage young people
- Have a good knowledge of the work that YMCA Essex provides to support young people
- Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle (or be able to get to youth work locations by other means)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 10 per week
