The post holder will be required to lead the governance processes and implementation of the quality governance framework with the Care Group Directors of Nursing/Midwifery, and support delivery of compliance against quality standards, regulations, and other performance metrics

The post holder will develop the Clinical Governance plans with the Care Group Directors of Nursing/Midwifery on the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework within service delivery, establishing best practice standards and performance targets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert guidance to support the delivery of services that reflect the best interests of people who use them.

The post holder will keep abreast of national initiatives and developments, identifying and communicating changes to ensure that best practice initiatives are implemented as part of continuous improvement across the Care Groups. They will ensure that teams have up to date policies and procedures in place that are relevant, understood and complied with, and will provide training and development of staff as appropriate.
- Strategic development, implementation and monitoring of Care Group Quality and Patient Experience Improvement Plan in collaboration with the Care Group Triumvirate.
- Lead and support the co-production of quality and service improvement programmes across the Care Group.
- Devise plans with services to demonstrate user feedback has been considered and appropriate quality improvements developed.
- Ensure risks across the Care Group are actively managed and timely reviewed.
- Actively support internal audit processes across the division/Care Group ensuring that action plans are in place and routinely monitored to deliver required improvements
- Coordinate and engage colleagues to support delivery of Trust quality strategy.
