**Description**
The Lead Release Manager is responsible for assisting in release planning activities by monitoring upcoming deployment related milestones to identify any conflicts within the expected deployment and deployment checkout window, identifying impacted parties,and escalating conflicts to the project manager and appropriate teams.
Principal Accountabilities:

- Drive deployment planning and execution for Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) at a high level across all teams
- Coordinate internally within the I&O teams for changes which could impact each other's work
- Work with the Application Development (E&E) release management resources to schedule the steps needed to successfully test changes where needed
- Coordinate with Program managers, Project leads, and the customer facing teams for needed tasks and verification
- Lead enterprise wise planning for Infrastructure focused change weekends
- Work with I&O Project Managers to identify and address any staffing capacity constraints for each weekend change cycle
- Represent I&O at Strategic Release Management (SRM) meetings for major impacting changes
- Coordinate Change Control review for high-risk I&O Changes
- Work with I&O teams on change ticket management and external dependencies
- Monitor external changes that could impact I&O and escalate accordingly
- Track issues for I&O as it relates to the release schedule
- Develop and maintain an I&O Release Schedule and provide updates to the overall Risk Calendar
- Work with IT Compliance team to ensure COG processes are followed within supported teams
- Collaborate with E&E Release Management team to participate and provide input into recommendations on process improvements and new best practices
Skills and Software Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT with 3 years in a role with accountability for adherence to process, managing project dates, or related activities
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or business-related discipline required.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Remedy, or other core tools used within the department
- Periphery knowledge of development tools, source code repositories
- Working knowledge of IT Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
