**Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver** The Best Connection are working with our Billingham based client to source additional **LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) DAY SHIFT Trunk Drivers** for their expanding operation. There are on going as well as Ad hoc positions available The role: - Starting at the Billingham hub you will be driving across the country to deliver goods using box trailers. - There is a minimum of "Hand-balling" involved - The Safe and Timely Operation of a C+E (Class one) vehicle - All vehicle checks and reporting of defects. - Achieving delivery slots - Using website-based delivery scheduling - Completion of delivery notes and associated paperwork - C+E (Class One) Licence - In date CPC and DIGI Card - Experience using box trailers preferred Hours of work: - 06.00am - 18.00pm - 7 day working Pay Rates: - £14.46 per hour (PAYE) for all hours worked - Saturday and Sunday are classed as part of standard working week Benefits of working for The Best Connection: - On-going assignments - Holiday entitlement - Personal accident insurance - Excellent rates of pay - On-line Payslips - Pension provision **Benefits & Requirements**: - Hourly rate as above (not age dependent) - 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday) - CPC Driver Qualification Card - Digi-Card Required - Licence - Category C+E - Requirement to Understand Tachos - Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
