Senior Health Care Assistant

We have a vacancy for a day shift Senior Health Care Assistant. This would suit someone who is already a Senior Health Care Assistant or an experienced Health Care Assistant looking to develop.

About us

You will be involved in supporting people with their daily lives and promoting independence

Duties will include all aspects of personal care for residents, along with other daily living activities

You will also support the training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the Home, under the supervision of senior staff members
You will be responsible for ensuring good communication across the care team, checking that daily tasks for the care team are completed in a timely manner and up-to-date in line with resident’s current needs

About you

Previous care experience (preferably in a senior role)
Experience with caring for residents with dementia preferred
Enjoy leading and supporting a team in maintaining our high level of service
Warm, friendly and committed
Passionate about care and enhancing the lives of our residents
Flexibility to work alternate weekends

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.20 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Preston, PR1 0AL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
