**Responsibilities for Legal Assistant**
- Opening new cases.
- Reporting to both clients and introducers on the progression of their transaction.
- Ensure matter files and billing systems are regularly updated.
- Interpreting legal correspondence, forms and procedures.
- Complete all administration tasks in a timely manner.

**Requirements for Legal Assistant**

**Essential**:

- Excellent communication skills.
- GCSE Maths and English Grace A - C
- Competent using Word, Excel and Outlook

**Highly Desirable**:

- A Law Degree (ideally 2:1 or above) or equivalent Law Qualification. (Desirable)
- Prior legal experience or work experience.
- Experience working within a service driven administrative team.

**Opportunity for progression**
- Our ethos is “we promote from within”. With hard work the right person would typically move from Legal Assistant to Senior Legal Assistant within 6- months and then to Paralegal and Senior Paralegal within a further 12 months.
- We are a registered training provider which means we can offer you the opportunity of a training contract. Training contracts are only offered to existing members of staff.
