1:1 Behaviour Support
- Full-time Role
- Immediate Start
- Ongoing Contract
- Camden Primary School

A high-achieving and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking an exceptionally experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 child with significant behavioural needs. This is a full-time, long-term position for someone ready to take on a challenging yet highly rewarding role.

**The Role**

You will work closely with one pupil in year 3 who presents extremely challenging behaviour, including swearing, hitting, and biting. The child requires a resilient, calm, and highly skilled professional who can remain composed in high-stress situations and implement effective de-escalation techniques.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the pupil throughout the school day in class and during transitions
- Managing incidents involving verbal and physical aggression in a safe and professional manner
- Working in close partnership with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Implementing consistent behaviour strategies and personalised learning support
- Encouraging emotional regulation, social skills, and academic engagement

This role requires someone with a proven background in supporting pupils with high-level behavioural needs, ideally in a primary school or specialist setting.

**The School**

This primary school in Camden is part of a respected high achieving primary school in the borough of Camden. The school benefits from strong leadership, a supportive staff team, and well-established systems for supporting pupils with SEN. Although behaviour across the school is generally very good, this role is specifically to support a child with exceptional needs. The school works closely with the attached secondary school and there is a supportive and established leadership team in place. As a large school within an academy, there is good access to professional development opportunities and training.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Experience with children who exhibit physical aggression or emotional dysregulation
- Confidence in managing high-intensity situations using positive behaviour support strategies
- Immediate availability and commitment to a full-time

If you are a dedicated SEN professional with the strength, patience, and experience to make a difference in a child’s life, we want to hear from you.
