Health Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need, fostering their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Working closely with a dedicated team, you will support individuals with various healthcare requirements, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity are maintained at all times.
**Responsibilities**:
**Personal Care**:Assist and support individuals with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Provide support with mobility and transfer, ensuring safety and comfort.
**Health Monitoring**:Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
**Companionship**:Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to provide emotional and social support.
Foster a positive and friendly environment to enhance the overall well-being of individuals.
**Meal Assistance**:Assist residents with mealtimes, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
Monitor nutritional intake and report any concerns to the relevant healthcare staff.
**Household Support**:Maintain a clean and organized living space for individuals.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and other domestic responsibilities.
**Communication**:Maintain clear and open communication with individuals, their families, and the healthcare team.
Document care activities and observations accurately in accordance with organizational protocols.
**Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with other care professionals, such as nurses, therapists, and social workers.
Attend team meetings and participate in care planning sessions.
**Emergency Response**:Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals during crisis situations.
**Qualifications**:
- Certification or training in healthcare assistance or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication and observational skills.
**Working Conditions**: The role may involve flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
