The role will involve following targets set by the Speech and Language Therapist in group and individual sessions face to face (in some cases video conference) sessions with children and their families either in a setting, in the home or in local children's centres in Southend

We are currently looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic and enthusiastic paediatric team working in the community delivering speech and language therapy interventions for children at risk of and identified as having developmental speech, language and communication difficulties.

Based at Thamesgate House, you will join a team of Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Therapy assistants to deliver a range of programmes/interventions to support the speech, language and communication development of children and young people aged 0 - 3;11.

The post is for 28.5 hours per week (7.5 hours 4 days per week)

You will receive all necessary training to deliver programmes/interventions from the Speech and Language Therapist you work alongside and from the very experienced Speech and Language Therapy Assistants already in post across the service.

We have excellent links with other professionals within the health service and education and robust clinical supervision and support networks in place.
