Printing Operative

**OVERVIEW**:
Are you our next Printing Operative? We’re looking for someone to join our Development Centre.

The Development Centre is a strategic investment by Gymshark to build a competitive advantage in our product creation capabilities. You will work within our surface printing area responsible for managing screens, including producing quality images, coating, and delivering quality screens. The department is also responsible for reclaiming and cleaning used screens from the production floor.

Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. You will be competent in using all Printing equipment, including Screen-printing, DTG digital printing, large format and 3D Sublimation printing. You will also have experience operating single head embroidery equipment.

**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:

- Operating multiple print machines, including Semi-auto Screen print machine and dryer with Spyder CTS setup - Brother GTX Pro DTG digital printer - Tajima single head Embroidery machine - 3D sublimation printer -Monti Antonio thermo printing sublimation Calendar and Epson Large format printing.
- Ensure each job is signed off as correct before total production commences and signed off as complete at the end.
- Confirm all jobs have first off approvals, either full-scale or mini proofs.
- Internally source material for each job and set up the machine correctly.
- Completing print jobs in line with the production plan and successfully interpreting job cards/work instructions to customer specifications.
- Completion of production paperwork, i.e. handover sheets/count sheets.
- Identification and resolution of machine troubleshooting.
- Report any deviations relating to the job card and materials to the Department Manager
- Support the whole Development team in the efficient running of the department.
- Ensure quality checks are completed as per the Company process.
- Observe all print processes and inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Running, setting up and maintaining all printing Equipment
- Check job sheets accurately for relevant information including, logos, sizes and products.
- Setting the print and embroidery machines to the correct functions and loading with the correct materials.
- Liaising and maintaining a good relationship with all stakeholders.
- Quality inspection of garments, packing, labelling and bagging items
- Pre-emptive Daily/weekly cleaning routines of all printers
- Ensuring the print room is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Stock control counting

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**:

- Must have technical knowledge of all forms of surface decoration
- Proven experience with printing equipment, preferably in a production/factory setting; ability to work safely with and around the printers
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to work alone or in a team and an effective communicator
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivation and a positive attitude towards work with the ability to self-supervise
- Excellent computer skills with Adobe Illustrator and photoshop experience and the interest to learn new software
- A hard worker and has a great attitude
- Sewing and fabric knowledge
- Knowledge of software required to load in artwork for printing
- Have a keen eye for detail to quality check prints.
