**Production Maintenance Technician / Handyperson**with a positive and professional attitude and previous experience gained in a similar role is required for a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
**SALARY**:Starting from £25,000 pro rata
**LOCATION**:Abingdon, Oxfordshire
**JOB TYPE**:Part-Time, Permanent
**WORKING HOURS**:Flexible, **16-24 hours per week**
**JOB OVERVIEW**
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Maintenance Technician / Handyperson with a positive and professional attitude and previous experience gained in a similar role.
Working as a Production Maintenance Technician / Handyperson you will be part of the Production (Pilot Plant) team and will undertake painting, decorating, minor repairs and general building fabric improvements as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
As a Production Maintenance Technician / Handyperson you will be required to support and assist the Production Engineer in maintenance tasks and improvement projects.
**DUTIES**
Your role as a Production Maintenance Technician / Handyperson will include:
- Painting, decorating, and minor repair/plastering work
- Shifting/assembling furniture or equipment
- Clearing, cleaning or organising general Production and service areas
- Minor plumbing and carpentry
- Minor general building fabric repairs and improvement projects
- Support and assist Production Engineer in maintenance tasks and improvement projects
- Use of computerised maintenance management system to view planned & unplanned tasks and manage workload and record comments/actions undertaken on Work Orders (hand-written/electronic)
- Undertake the duties outlined above (and other similar duties) as directed by the Maintenance Manager and from time to time other tasks as may be required to support the Company
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent
- Further relevant training such as City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ’s would be advantageous
- Previous experience gained in a similar role is essential
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- A positive and professional attitude
- Outstanding physical dexterity
- Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
