Serco are proud to support the Royal Navy Air Station in Yeovilton, that delivers services ranging from the repair and maintenance of our aircraft such as those returning from combat duty - to fuel delivery and engineering support. Yeovilton is one of the Navy's two principal air stations, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK. being home to more than 100 aircraft.

The Aircraft Refuel Driver is required to support operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment within RNAS Yeovilton under the AESAS contract through the refuelling of military and civilian aircraft, testing aviation fuel held in bulk and mobile stowage’s and ensuring that fuel is maintained to the standard required for issue to military and civilian aircraft.

**The Aircraft Refuel Driver will be responsible for**:

- Where required by Customer Regulations and Procedures employees are authorised to carry out contracted tasks.
- All contracted tasks are carried out in accordance with current Customer Policy and Regulations and other applicable statutory Regulations.
- Contracted tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- The Serco Site and Engineering Lead is made aware of all business risks.
- All verbal and written customer complaints and Quality issues are brought to the attention of the Supervisor, Senior Supervisor or Serco Site and Engineering Lead.
- All employees will comply with:

- The Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974.
- The Serco Management System.
- Where applicable Customer Policy and Regulations applicable to their grade and position.
- Company Equal Opportunities Policy.
- Other tasks within their capability are carried out as directed by the Refuel Senior Supervisor or Serco Site and Engineering Lead.
- Administration tasks are carried out as required by the refuel Senior Supervisor or Serco Support Manager.
- Further training courses necessary to their job are attended as required.
- Ensuring best practice and assurance of regulatory compliance by the reporting and communication of engineering, safety and near miss events.
- Monitoring hazards and ensuring risks, and issues are identified and quantified to their Supervisor, Senior Supervisor or Serco Site and Engineering Lead.
- They participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and associated programmes when required.
- To remain flexible and carry out any other tasks within their capabilities and experience in support of the Contract as directed by the Contract Manager or their representative.
- To promote Serco’s professional Company image in all liaison’s with internal and external agencies.

**Requirements of the role**:

- Attained requisite vocational driving qualifications pertinent to operating refuel vehicles operated on site at RNAS Yeovilton
- Have completed a training logbook and hold a fuel practitioner’s logbook
- Previous experience and a good working knowledge of the following:

- Fully conversant with fuel quality assurance, testing and fuel contamination checks
- Be computer literate and be able to access such systems to maintain essential records
- Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices.
- An understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
- Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- A capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.

**Understand**:

- Military (aviation) procedures for operating on an airfield.
- Airworthiness Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
