Our membership has grown to over 300 public sector organisations with an aggregated housing stock of more than 2 million and new members are joining us each week. In the last 4 years we have seen an average annual growth in members of 47% and a framework throughput in excess of £120 million.
To support this growth, we’re looking for a Member Support Officer experienced in delivering good customer service in a busy environment.
Our Member Support Officers are integral part of the daily interactions with our members and supply chain. Our Member Support Officers maintain and develop relationships with Member organisations, Contractors and Suppliers to ensure that they maximise the opportunities of working with a procurement consortium.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Provide planned individual support to all new and existing members to promote the services of EEM and guide them through the use of our procurement solutions.
- Proactively manage relationships with members to maximise uptake of our services and promote the benefits of working with EEM.
- Manage expiring contracts working 3 months in advance, ensuring all required documentation is prepared, to meet the set deadlines.
- Provide support to members and contractors with the on-boarding of new contracts ensuring compliance with the Public Contract Regulations and internal requirements.
- Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings with members and contractors, both in person and online, take notes and ensure that actions are followed up.
- Advise, draft and finalise all forms of contracts in liaison with the Member and Contractor/Supplier.
- Liaise with Members and the wider EEM Team to obtain feedback on the performance of Contractors/Suppliers and collate responses ready for presenting during review meetings.
- Support Members and Contractors with any performance issues, variations and contractual disputes which may arise.
- Work closely with our Procurement Team to handover enquires relating to mini competitions and maintain communications with regards to progress on the award.
- Update of all internal records and systems to enable the effective monitoring of enquiries, live contracts and expected contract values.
We are looking for someone with **excellent written and verbal communication** skills who understands the importance of providing a **customer orientated service** and who has experience of **handling a variety of customer enquiries** and **building successful working relationships** with customers.
Experience of working within or for the public sector and/or social housing would be desirable, as would knowledge of public procurement regulations and contract management, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Attendance at external meetings will be required so a willingness to travel and access to a vehicle is required.
**In return for your hard work you can expect**:
- Salary grade starting point will be £33,824 rising to £35,922 over 3 years
- Monday to Friday 37 hour flexible working week around the core hours of 9am and 3pm
- Hybrid working arrangements will be considered following a successful probation period
- 27 days annual leave rising to 34 after 5 years (excluding Bank Holidays)
- 5% matched pension
