**About The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Early Help and Prevention (EHaP) team, as an Adolescent Support Team practitioner. In this role, you’ll be primarily working with adolescent’s and families to address multiple and complex needs, improving family functioning and resilience, and reducing the need for statutory interventions.

You will be working with young people between 10 and 17 years old who are at risk of experiencing extra familial harm, on the edge of care (LAC prevention) and other complex issues such as school refusals, behaviour issues and family breakdowns. In addition, you will lead on facilitating our parenting programmes and developing our group work.

There will be opportunities to be trained in evidence-based parenting programmes and to develop your skills in providing group work.

**About The Team You’ll Be Working In**

The team is a dynamic, fast-paced and creative team that works with families and young people from the point of referral, where there may be intra-familial, extra-familial and contextual risks. The team works with young people at risk of homelessness or the edge of care to build & sustain positive relationships within families, in order to maintain stability for young people.
- The Early Help and Prevention team is looking for a practitioner who has experience working with adolescents and/or children and their families, who wants the opportunity to develop their skills in supporting children and their families to achieve good outcomes.
- As well as excellent support from colleagues, you will receive reflective supervision and have the opportunity for career progression through our Social Work programmes.

**About You**
- You are experienced in working with children and young people and their parents/carers and can build strong relationships.
- You are well organised and have good time management skills.
- You have experience of working collaboratively with other professionals / agencies.
- You can write notes and reports which are analytical when required.
- You can be creative and innovative in your work.

**Essential for the Role**
