**Senior Medical Writer (Medical Education)**

**Senior Medical Writer Role**

As a Senior Medical Writer, your contributions will involve:

- Maintain a high quality of medical writing
- Continually feedback to all members of the writing team effectively, ensuring learnings are taken forward onto future projects
- Develop understanding of new therapeutic areas quickly and comprehensively
- Begin to act as the Technical Lead on designated client projects
- Work collaboratively with account team members to ensure that all account objectives are met
- Identify opportunities to maximise existing client accounts
- Monitor project costs against agreed budgets and notify the Client Services team of any changes to the specification at the earliest opportunity
- Build understanding of client and competitor products, therapy areas, portfolio, and clinical and commercial strategy in the context of the current market

**Senior Medical Writer Essential Experience**
- Degree level in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences. A higher degree would be an advantage.
- Substantial experience of working in medical communications or an equivalent environment.
- Proficient in standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Energetic and hard-working, with attention to detail and excellent quality-control skills.
- Good organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and to balance multiple priorities, pressures and demands.
- Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal confidently with people at all levels within the business, and externally when appropriate
- Positive attitude
- Good presentation skills.
