Jumbo Drill Operator

**Aufgaben**:
**A skilled plant operator typically working on a variety of areas across a large project. To complete all tasks / activities in a safe & efficient manner ensuring that all associated standards are adhered to**:

- Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, security, and environmental matters in conjunction with the HSSE department.
- Work in the spirit of the company’s guiding principles, ambitions, goals and contributing to best practice.
- Responsible for the operation of a double boom jumbo drilling rig
- Knowledge of drill patterns for face drilling and blasting
- Carry out prestart checks of drilling rig. Check all safety systems and hose connections are in working order and report any defects to Supervisor
- Complete routine maintenance and ensure oil and coolant levels are topped up.
- Drill a number of drill patterns using hydraulic drilling rig
- Install ground support measures such as rock dowels and spiles
- Record drilling parameters and feedback to Supervisor encountered ground conditions
- Work with technical and supervisor staff in quality and safety initiatives
- Assist with other aspects of tunnelling operations when required
- To undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Team Leader
- Be enthusiastic & committed to the team’s purpose and share responsibility for performance
- Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost
- To take care of any safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly
- Work as part of a team & contribute towards successful communication & positive

**Qualifikationen**:

- Drill and blast experience required
- CSCS Card (relevant type)
- All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site-based work is required.
- Appropriate CPCS Card
- HGV Class 1 License will be required.
