**About the Service/Department**
Hestia’s Folkestone Safe Haven provides a safe space for people who feel that they are experiencing or moving towards a mental health crisis. People aged 18+ from Folkestone and Hythe can self-present at the Haven to get help and support from trained staff and volunteers. Staff and volunteers in the Haven will support people discuss the nature of the crisis that they are experiencing and support them with a range of interventions including assessments and safety plans, wellness, recovery action plans and social prescribing. Staff and volunteers will have an asset based approach, focusing on the strengths and coping skills of people using the Haven, and help them to understand how they could use these assets to decrease their own distress and promote their wellbeing. In line with the principles of the Hestia Approach the Haven will be co-produced with those who use it as well as with local voluntary, statutory and community based organisations. The Haven will be a warm, welcoming and non-stigmatising environment offering communal eating, a range of activities and a quiet, low sensory space to cater for individual needs and aspirations.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our bank staff (pool list) to provide support at the above service.

Pool Workers provide vital cover where needed such as sickness, holiday etc. Our pool list offers you complete flexibility when it comes to working hours. If you are studying, have a young family, just looking for a few extra hours or be able to amend your availability from week to week, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

**What Hestia offers**
- Your **holiday entitlement** will be added on top of your hourly salary of £10.33 with a total amount of £11.44 paid for every hour you complete.

- **Mentoring**: Operational Managers will act as Mentors to Pool workers, helping identify learning and development needs
