True Focus Care LTD is a company, whom is a dynamic and child centred company with a Residential Home in the Swansea area supporting Children and Young People 8-18 years old whom may have a learning disability or emotional behavioural Difficulties.

As a residential support worker in True focus care you will support children whom may have experienced trauma, neglect and abuse from trusted adults. We expect our employees to have a nurturing and therapeutic approach to the care of our children and young people.

We are currently recruiting for our home in the Swansea area.

All applicants must be over 21 years of age and hold a full driver's licence.

A NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)

Main Roles & Responsibilities

Building and maintaining positive relationships with Young people and to help increase their self
- confidence and self-worth.

Ensure the safeguarding of the young people living in the home

Maintaining a safe living and working environment.

Promoting the active participation of young people in the decision making process affecting their lives.

To participate in the day to day running of the home.

Adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure theses are followed by team members.

Able to work in partnership with social services and other professionals.

Confident in handling challenging situations and being resilient.

Develop your own practice and taking advantage of all the training opportunities available to you.

Participate in the rota system ensuring adequate staffing levels within the home.

Shift Patterns on rolling rota - 12 Hour shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 36 per week

**Salary**: £19,468.80-£20,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear PPE social distance, and to sanitise the home three times through the day.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Swansea, Swansea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (required)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
