Position Overview:
The Operational Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the various operational aspects of our service within the Cradle to Career project area (North Birkenhead).
Key Responsibilities:
**Referral Management**
- Process and Monitor Referrals: Ensure all incoming referrals are logged, assessed, and processed in a timely manner, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Initial Triage: Conduct initial assessments to determine the level of support required and direct referrals to the appropriate internal or external services.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records of referrals and service engagements using our internal record system.
**Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with, coach and support our peer support team to ensure they are informed and equipped to provide appropriate support to parent-carers.
- External Partnerships: Engage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, health services, educational institutions, and other non-profits, to facilitate coordinated support for our community.
- Communication: Act as the central point of contact for stakeholder inquiries, ensuring timely and clear communication between all parties.
**Support Coordination**:
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate and triage support services, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and in alignment with the needs of our parent-carers.
- Service Mapping: Develop and maintain a comprehensive directory of available support services within and outside the organisation.
- Crisis Management:Assist in managing crisis situations, ensuring that urgent cases are escalated to the appropriate channels.
**Operational Support**:
- Project Management: Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on referral outcomes, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery for internal review and funding bodies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving referral processes, stakeholder engagement, and overall service delivery.
**Essential**:
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the voluntary sector or other sector driven by public funding, particularly in project coordination, case management, or operational support.
- Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the challenges faced by families with children with special needs and disabilities, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and other relevant software tools.
- Interpersonal: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with local support services and the charity sector's role in addressing inequalities.
- Flexibility: Willingness and tenacity to adapt to changing circumstances and take on additional duties as required.
**Desirable**:
Education: A degree in social work, community development, project management, or a related field.

PLEASE NOTE SALARY IS FULL TIME EQUIVALENT AND WILL BE PRO-RATA BASED ON 22.5 HOURS, OUR WORKING WEEK IS 37.5 HOURS
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £15,000.00 per year
