RPS are seeking an experienced drainage technician/tcrew leader to lead a 2-person team, carrying out investigation and drain tracing works. The salary for this role is up to £27k plus benefits plus overtime.

**What you’ll be doing**

This role focuses on identifying sources of pollution found in local rivers and watercourses via the public surface water drainage network and is achieved using various drain tracing techniques including lift and look sewer tracing, CCTV surveying and both residential and commercial property surveying using drain tracing dye. Previous experience in a drainage related role is essential.

This is a customer facing role requiring excellent customer service skills. Applicants must have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. Please note that the work will be outdoors in all weather conditions and will involve the manual handling of manhole chamber covers and other heavy items. Due to the nature of the work, flexibility regarding working hours is essential. This includes occasional Saturday work, early starts and late finishes as required. Overtime rates are paid accordingly.

**Who we’re looking for**?
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans
- A minimum of 2years’ experience in a drainage related role, coupled with the ability to accurately navigate the drainage network using the GIS mapping provided
- Detailed knowledge of both public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems
- Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities
- Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
- Full UK driving licence
- CCTV experience is an advantage
